Peaceful and Authentic
Unlike many well-known destinations in Fjord Norway, Valldal remains peaceful and authentic. With around 1,000 inhabitants and no cruise traffic, guests experience Norway at a slower pace – closer to nature, local culture and the people who live here.
Nature provides unique experiences all year round, from blooming spring landscapes and delicious summer berries to autumn harvests and cozy winter days.
Valldal as a base
With short distances to Geiranger, Trollstigen, Ålesund, Åndalsnes and the Atlantic Road, Valldal is an ideal 2–3 night base for exploring some of Norway’s most iconic highlights – while enjoying authentic adventures and relaxation in the valley.

14.00 An introduction to Uteguiden
Choose between two tours:
Kayak to a hidden UNESCO world heritage fjord
Rafting – raft the exciting rapids of Valldøla

17.00 Free time / Tour around center of Valldal / Yoga at Meretes Garden
Visit Khaya Barista bar and small hike to the historical cross of Saint Olav
