How to snowshoe?
It doesn’t demand a perfect balance like skiing or a physical shape as athlete to go snowshoeing. If you can walk, you can snowshoe we like to say. The snowshoes will keep you floating on top of deep snow, and give excellent grip on icy conditions.
We will make sure to individually fit the showshoes and give you the practical training you need.

Snowshoe hike to Peak Mefjellet – 5-7 hours

Best seller! Join one of our professional guides and climb a Norwegian mountain during winter with snowshoes. Peak Mefjellet (1100 meters / 3609 feet) is the perfect mountain! It`s a long, but rewarding hike where you will experience the best mountain and fjord view possible in this area.
We will guide you through traditional Norwegian farm land and wild nature. The hike follows a panoramic trail giving us spectacular view. Half way we reach Nysætra, a beautiful traditional Norwegian mountain farm. After a short break and multiple pictures, we start a steep climb. Eventually we end up at peak Mefjellet, rewarded with a 360-degree panoramic view.
To participate this tour you`ll need to be in good physical shape and prepared for changing winter weather. If you are unsure if this tour is for you, please seek advise with us.
